On Sunday, City plays Country in the Annual Ivor Ewin Trophy match, which increasingly resembles a Sydney University internal trial.
Teams are chosen on a place-of-origin basis, so Ryan Carters (ACT), Nick Larkin (Taree) and Jonte Pattison (Central Coast) will turn out for Nic Maddinson’s Country team, while Ed Cowan, Will Somerville and Tim Ley will play under Moises Henriques for City. The 50-over match will be played at Blacktown International Sportspark No2 and is being treated by the NSW selectors as a trial for the upcoming Matador BBQ One Day tournament.
