GENERAL manager
COLIN ROBERTSON

Colin has joined SUCC as the General Manager of the Club. He brings with him a wealth of business and operational experience, as well as an incredible passion for both cricket and the Club. Colin also represented the Zimbabwean national side throughout the 1980’s.

Colin will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the Club are run effectively. We are excited to welcome Colin on board!

DIRECTOR OF CRICKET
Nick LARKIN

It is with great pleasure that the Sydney University Cricket Club announces the appointment of Nick Larkin as our new Director of Cricket for season 2023/24

Nick is well know to all involved with SUCC having joined the Club as a young talent from the country in 2008. He brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the role and is current batting coach for the NSW Blues Squad.

Last season Nick became the all time highest run scorer for the club, surpassing another legend of SUCC and NSW Cricket, Greg Mail’s 10247 runs.

Nick is still a current integral member of the 1st Grade team and brings his level of professionalism to the entire Club.

The entire playing group, board and supporters, welcomes Nick into his new role and we look forward to working with him in the seasons ahead.


Head Coach RHYS wILLIAMS

Rhys is no stranger to the Club having spent 2 seasons as assistant coach in 2019-2022 before taking up a position as 1st team coach at Riverview College.

Rhys has a vast amount of grade experience having played 1st Grade for Bankstown.

On hearing the news that Rhys would be returning to the Club, the playing group were extremely pleased and this is testament to the coach and overall person Rhys is. He already has a buzz happening around training and is genuinely passionate about the Club’s values, morals and culture.

assistant COACH
Jack HILL

Jack joins us for his 2nd year as assistant coach having recently completed his Level 2 Coaching Course. He is very well know to most at the Sydney University Cricket Club having joined the club in the 2006/07 season after being selected in the Green Shield Squad. Since then Jack has played in every grade at the club, winning Premierships in 2nd Grade (3) and 3rd grade (2). Jack is the all time leading 3rd grade run scorer and will be captaining the clubs 2nd grade team for season 2022/23.

Jack has graduated in a Bachelor of Law/Communications at Western Sydney University and the Master of Teaching (Secondary) at UNE. He is currently employed at Holy Cross College in Ryde and recently completed his Level 2 Cricket Coaching through CNSW.

The coaching team look forward to Jack being involved once again and know he will add value to training sessions especially with his knowledge and experience of how the club functions.

VOLUNTEER ROLES

Leading into the 2024-25 NSW Premier Cricket season, the Club is looking to fill a range of volunteer roles that are crucial to the ongoing viability of the Club.

SCORERS
The Club is seeking interest in cricket scoring roles from 3rd to 5th Grade, Metropolitan Cup, Poidevin-Gray Shield and A.W. Green Shield teams. The Club provides a range of benefits to our scorers including support to attend seminars/courses, lunches, travel costs and complimentary tickets to various Club events.
