Third Grade won the Mitchell Cup for the seventh time in the club’s history. It was only the second time that a University team has won both the Third Grade premiership and the minor premiership in the same season.
Milan Swaraj passed 700 runs for the season during the Third Grade grand final.
The Third Grade grand final was a big game for Dom Goddard, whose 73 earned him the Mick Favell Medal as the player of the match. He scored his seventh half-century for the club (and fourth in Thirds). During his innings he passed both 500 runs in Third Grade and 1000 runs for the club in all grades.
During his valuable 39 against Manly in the grand final, Henry Snyman passed 500 runs in Third Grade for the club.
In Manly’s innings in the grand final, Oli Zannino held five catches behind the stumps for the first time in Third Grade, and this included his 100th dismissal for the club in all grades.
During the grand final against Sutherland, Thomas Crawford passed 500 runs in Metropolitan Cup.
