When Tim Cummins caught Blacktown’s Waqas Tareen, from Hayden Kerr’s bowling, on Saturday, he completed his 284th dismissal behind the stumps for the club – taking him past Shane Stanton (228 catches and 55 stumpings) to make him the second most successful wicket-keeper in the club’s history. Now, only the late Alan Crompton (331 dismissals between 1961 and 1980) has dismissed more batsmen in First Grade for Sydney University.
Andrew Hazard played his 200th Premier Cricket match (73 for Sydney University, 127 for Penrith).
Bailey Lidgard, with 4-46 against Blacktown, claimed his best bowling figures in Second Grade.
Peter Brazel took his 50th wicket for the club in all grades.
In Third Grade against Blacktown, Andrew Wilkinson took his 264th wicket for the club in all grades, joining Jock Baird as the joint 37th-highest wicket taker for the club.
Sidhaarthaa Veeravalli, with 3-43 against Blacktown, returned his best bowling figures in Third Grade.
Robbie Keaton’s decisive 41 not out against Blacktown in Fourth Grade was his highest score for the club.
Flinders Zhang-Langley took his 50th wicket for the club in all grades.
William Garske’s 40 against Blacktown in Fifth Grade was his highest score for the club.
Charan Dissanayake, with 58 against Warringah, hit his first half-century for the club.
Quinn Fowler, with 66 against Warringah, hit his first half-century for the club.
Isabella Zovi, in Women’s Seconds against Gordon, not only hit her second half-century for the club (62) but also collected her best bowling figures for the club (3-24).
Catherin Puiu, with 31 not out in Brewer Shield’s win over North Sydney, hit her highest score for the club.
