In defeating UTS North Sydney outright, First Grade dismissed its opponents for less than 100 in each innings – the first time University has done this in Firsts since bowling out Balmain (as the Sydney club was then known) for 72 and 76 in 2004-05.

And University’s win in the First Grade Limited Overs Quarter Final against St George on Sunday puts the club into the semi-finals of that competition for the eleventh time.

In the match against UTS North Sydney, Max Hope followed his highest First Grade score by holding five catches in a First Grade match for the first time – including his 50th catch for the club in all grades.

Caelan Maladay, with 5-15 against UTS North Sydney, collected his first five-wicket haul for the club – which was the third of his First Grade career.  When he dismissed St George’s Blake Macdonald on Sundsy, he claimed his 100th Premier Cricket wicket in all grades.

When Devlin Malone dismissed St George’s Peter Francis on Sunday, he took his 50th wicket of the season.  It’s the second time he has taken fifty wickets in a First Grade season.

The match against UTS North Sydney was Jordan Gauci’s 150th First Grade game.

The Limited Overs quarter-final against St George on Sunday was Damien Mortimer’s 200th match in First Grade (including 55 for Campbelltown).

The Limited Overs quarter-final against St George was Nick Larkin’s 53rd appearance for the club in a final.  His spectacular 108 (from 95 balls, with five 6s) was his 20th First Grade century.  During his innings he passed 500 First Grade runs for the season – the seventh time in his career he has reached that milestone.

Tim Cummins reached 3000 runs for the club (all in First Grade) during Sunday’s match against St George at Hurstville.

Andrew Hazard’s match-winning 7-40 against UTS North Sydney was the best return of his Premier Cricket career.  It was the fourth time he has taken five wickets in a Premier Cricket innings, the second time he has taken five in an innings for the club, and the first time he has taken five in an innings in Seconds.

In Third Grade against North Sydney on Saturday, Morris Fredriksson held his 50th catch for the club in all grades.

Shuvayu Banerjee returned his best bowling figures for the club – 3-8 against UTS North Sydney in Third Grade.

During his decisive innings against UTS North Sydney in Third Grade, Andrew Wilkinson passed 2000 runs for the club in all grades.

Evander Herbert guided Metropolitan Cup to an outright win over Georges River with 6-41, his best figures (and first five-wicket haul) for the club.
