Nick Larkin, scoring 52 against Campbelltown-Camden, passed fifty for the 48th time in First Grade (including 19 centuries).  His innings pushed him further up the list of all-time run-scorers in the First Grade competition: he passed North Sydney’s Nigel Taylor (7232) and former NSW batsman Kevin Geyer (7246) and now sits in 98th place with 7250 runs.

Dylan Hunter made his debut for the club in the First Grade match against Campbelltown-Camden, taking his first wickets (3-26) and scoring his first runs.  He has previously played 36 First Grade games for Gordon and 22 for Randwick-Petersham.  When he dismissed former University Green Shield captain, Willoughby Watson, he collected his 50th wicket in all grades in Premier Cricket.

Jordan Gauci held five catches in the field in the First Grade game against Campbelltown-Camden, the first time he has achieved this in his career.

During his 41 not out against Campbelltown-Camden on Saturday, Damien Mortimer passed Ian Foulsham (4180) and Suda Sivapalan (4185) to become the 35th highest run-scorer in the club’s history.

When Tim Cummins stumped Campbelltown-Camden’s Luke Webb on Saturday, he completed his 400th dismissal in First Grade, 345 caught and 55 stumped.  Of these, 161 catches and 27 catches were taken for Penrith.

When Devlin Malone dismissed Campbelltown-Camden’s Luke Courtney on Saturday, he passed Greg Mail (222) to become the 10th highest wicket taker in First Grade for the club.

On Saturday, Ryan Danne played his 200th match for the club in all grades.

Don Butchart made his debut for the club in Second Grade’s match against Campbelltown-Camden, collecting his first wicket during a frugal spell of 1-20.  Born in Zimbabwe, Butchart has played county second eleven cricket for Leicestershire and Derbyshire and played a List A match for Leicestershire against India A in 2018 ( in which India A ran up the fourth-highest total ever recorded in a List A match).

Theo Dempsey made his debut for the club in Second Grade’s match against Campbelltown-Camden, scoring a valuable 28 not out.  In 2022, Dempsey made his List A debut for Leinster Lightning.  He has also represented Irish Universities.

Random stat pf the week: when rain and bad light brought Fourth Grade’s match with Campbelltown-Camden to an early close, Clancy Barrett was 0 not out – his first not-out innings coming in his 37th innings for the club.

Ali Bajwa made his debut for the club in Fourth Grade’s match against Campbelltown-Camden, taking 2-4 from his four overs.  He has played Premier Cricket for Fairfield-Liverpool.

Shuvayu Banerjee, who has played Premier Cricket for University of NSW, made his debut for the club in Fourth Grade’s match against Campbelltown-Camden.

Several players made their first appearance for the club in the Metropolitan Cup match against University of NSW on Sunday: Ben Crawford, Varun Giritharan, Finn Howley, Rafiul Nakib, Minuka Fernando, Charles Clay, Parin Sheth, Noah Feenstra and Cooper Jones

Avijay Maharaj (55) hit his first half-century for the club in the Metropolitan Cup match against University of NSW on Sunday.
